Understanding the Essentials

Ah, garden clippers, the unsung heroes of home gardening! Just like a sharp wit, a good pair of clippers makes all the difference. You’ll want to choose the best garden clippers that not only fit your hands but also serve your gardening needs like a trusty sidekick. So, let’s dig into the dirt!

Types of Garden Clippers

First things first, there are different types of garden clippers, and picking the right one is as crucial as selecting a reliable Netflix series. If you’re tackling tough stems, opt for bypass pruners — they work like a charm for snipping perennials. For those oh-so-thick branches trying to steal your sunlight, a pair of anvil pruners is recommended. Think of them like the bouncers at the garden club — they get the job done!

Features to Look For

When hunting for your perfect pair, consider these features: material and grip. Look for clippers made of high-carbon steel for durability that resists rust and makes you feel like the king or queen of the garden. A comfortable grip is essential, especially if your gardening escapades last longer than anticipated. After all, no one wants blisters ruining a beautiful bloom!

However, fear not. I have found my favorite pair of clippers: Corona 1” Pruners. They are all steel, easy to sharpen, easy to take apart and clean/oil, and fit my hand SO well. They are tried and tested & I am confident that you’ll love them.

I garden on a budget y’all. I can’t afford the $100 clippers out there. I have tried the cheap ones with plastic components and, as someone who is EXTREMELY likely to leave my clippers out in the garden, I have found that they rust, warp, and fall apart. In addition, they’re difficult to take apart, clean, and sharpen.

  • MAXFORGEDTM STEEL: Corona’s forging process compacts steel molecules into our strongest, most durable tools that stay sh…
  • DUAL ARC BYPASS BLADE efficiently cuts green or dry branches and stems
  • HAND-MATCHED HOOK AND BLADE: Slant-ground, narrow-profile hook and blade are matched by hand to ensure precise, close cu…
